Default Need advice Best budget exhaust for 2004 1500 with 5.7 Hemi

Hey guys, just picked up a 2004 Ram 1500 with the Hemi in it. The Cats are hollowed out and after Cats the pipes are toast and need replaced. Whats the best budget route to take with this setup. I want to runs straight pipes but think it will be too loud. Does anyone know of pre-bent pipes i could purchase or an inexpensive kit. Again I'm on a budget and am looking for cheapest way but still want it to be decent at least. Any help would be appreciated...

Sounds like you may be better off going to a local exhaust shop/ They can go from headpipes back and it may be cheaper then buying an aftermarket kit. Last year I went that route it cost around $250 for tru duals on my sons F159. Mark

Just take the muffler off at the back of the cat, you'll be so happy!

Heck at cruising speed its pretty reasonable, when you open it up it of course gets louder, but what a beast!.

If you like quiet, maybe a Durango muffler is for you.

To be honest, that's pretty cheap and pipe is pipe.

To be fair, unless your stock pipe is rusted through, it's still good. You're not pushing enough mods to go up in pipe size, so getting an "offroad" Y pipe and a muffler and having a local exhaust shop put it on is your best bet, unless you truly want a dual rear exit.
Here's my set up, it's about 1.5 min into the video, and plenty of sound clips for you to get a feel.
