Also these trucks don't have a mass airflow sensor
Ah. Electronic throttle. Yes. Still would like to know the code from the cel though.

You keep stating the obvious and he keeps guessing at the problem. It will be interesting to see if the code is actually pulled before any parts swapping takes place.

I don't have a scanner and I can't drive the truck anywhere. I was told in some model dodges that some can give you codes on the dash somewhere by doling a certain something but don't know if mine is capable. Im all ears to solutions and what everyone thinks it could be. I will be rereading all this to see if i overlooked anything. Thanks for everyone who is trying to help, i do appreciate it

Make sure you tip the throttle body when spraying such a way that the cleaner doesn't seep through where butterfly shaft penetrates into the electronics. I used non-chlorinated brake cleaner with this method without issues

I cleaned the throttle body first but that was not the issue. The issue was in the instructions that came with the K&N CAI. It told me to remove the oil breather hose that was on there already and install the oil breather hose that came with the kit to the CAI. I unplugged the hose that went from the nipple where you pour in your oil to the CAI and plugged in the old oil vent hose..... And bam she fires right up with no idling problems and both the check engine light & ETC light went off. Took it for a test drive and she runs great

You can buy a code reader for about $20 these days. Best tool you can have.

I agree, i took my truck to advance and the only code that came up with P2111 which said the throttle actuator control system- stuck open but if that was the case my truck would be running wide open 100% of the time and it was idling fine and throttle response was normal and everything.

They used an actron code reader which ranges from $90-$140, what brands are cheaper but still good?
