Default New Dodge Owner

Hello everyone,
Just purchased a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab 4wd with the 4.7, with 113,000 miles...
Like the truck, runs well, has a few minor issues.
My last truck, 89 Ford F150 4wd with a 302, burnt to the ground. Almost had it restored....turned the heater on, and she went up in flames.
Had to go into debt and have them dang monthly payments again.
Can you guys tell me what are some of the problems areas to focus on, as I bought this truck as is no warranty. I don't put many miles on one in a year, because I drive a company vehicle.
Thanks for you time.

It really just depends on the previous owner.

I was able to get a carfax, and went over it. It looks like it was took care of as far as maintenance. Nothing major. No accident. There were three previous owners.

The HVAC has issues with the different plastic doors. Either the doors break at the pivot points or the plastic pins attached to the doors break. Airflow is affected depending which door or doors have broken. Also, the driver seat foam can split and cause a hole in the seat fabric. Both issues have had several how-to write-ups on repair.

Thanks for the info. I haven't noticed any problems yet. The interior is in great shape. I do have a window problem. I'm only able to roll the windows down from the drivers side, they won't roll down individually. I made sure the window lock button wasn't pushed. I will have to explore to see what the problem is.

It is clean. It has been used for a truck, if you know what I mean. I'm eventually going to take to a buddy's body shop to fix a couple things. It also looks like it had a camper shell on it because of the scrapes and scratches around the top of the box. It has a bed liner that I need to take out and check underneath it..

Window issue sounds like a bad master switch. They are prone to crack in the circuit board. There is a thread on here. On how to repair.

biggest threat to the 4.7 motor is over heating, I would recommend a 180 stat, and they love autolite 3923 plugs, they are a step cooler then stock. my 2005 currently has 186000 miles on it, only thing I had to replace is the water pump,
