Took the plunge from my older Dakota and have a 2007 RAM 1500 single cab 6 foot bed basic truck. Does have the 4.7 V8 with Automatic Transmission and the trailer towing package. Some hard use, bed is a little beat up inside, but was a relatively local truck and driving home seemed to do fairly well. Pulls left some, but let's hope for the best with an alignment. I did miss a misaligned door fender, so while the Car Fax is clean who knows what happened over 9 years.


Has 79,000 miles and it's also 4 Wheel Drive, with the electric selector ****. Will start looking on this part of the forum now. How often do you folks change the transmission fluid? I ask as the previous owner did tow with it.

I just got my 08 in Jan. from a big dealer in a small town..extremely good price compared to where I live. Anyways...I didn't know what was changed or not. It has 70k on it and very very clean and runs really really good. To me it seemed like it was garaged kept. So I changed my tranny fluid and my diff. Fluid, and my plugs 8 on top next change all 16.. That's another story..wow...these dealer seem to have a requirement to change brakes so I'm good there for awhile. .. I would strongly recommend changing tranny fluid every 30 stay on top of it..got my kit online eBay included both filter and o-ring and gasket 19.00 but the gasket is not rubber. I tried using it switch over to gasket sealer. RTV
