Gas Gauge Takes Forever to Change after Fill-up

Mine did the same thing after changing the pump. After about 6-8 months it started working properly. I don't know if it's a learning curve for the computer or what.

Mine has done it too sometimes. I think it gets in a slow filtering mode. It does eventually settle out. I kind of wondering if its based on if the engine is shut off just after stopping while the fuel is slushing around in the tank. I don't know where the filtering is located whether that is in the instrument cluster or the PCM but I suspect the instrument cluster.
