Could be one of a number of things. First of all, what did you clean it with? A lot of chemicals will foul the hell out of sensors.

It's fly by wire, so unless you physically broke something or screwed up a sensor odds are it's electrical, like a broken wire or loose connection...

Are you sure you plugged everything back in?

What did it idle at before you cleaned the throttle body? You should be idling about 500 rpm lower than you are indicating before the jump.

Yep, you have to keep the motor up so no cleaner gets in it. Also, non-chlorinated brake cleaner only.

as long as you removed the tb for cleaning you did nothing wrong, once you disconnect the sensors from the tb, the computer needs to relearn. start and stop truck a couple times to see if that helps, if not just feather the gas when you come to a stop sign or light, soon it will regain its signal and be ok, I have the same issues everytime I clean mine or disconnect the battery for service

Use this stuff:

Throttle bodies have special coatings that other cleaners can remove.

So, yours or your buddy's?

Everybody makes mistakes of sorts, or at least thinks the do when things aren't exactly as they were before the "fix", and then second guesses if they should have ever messed with it in the first place. Just one of those things you learn from for the next time you do it. Don't let it dissuade you from trying again the next time maintenance is due. Could be something as simple as the computer needing to relearn itself, or it could be just using the wrong chemicals. Sometimes an "oops" costs you a little bit of money, but you learn from it.
