Default Steering pulsates

Bought an 05 ram 2500 Cummins. Having steering issues. When I turn corners the steering pulsate. It is easy to turn te wheel in the desired direction but it puts pressure in the opposite direction for about 1 second over and over. I do not have to be making a sharp turn, I could be going around a corner on an interstate and it will do it. Is this a common problem? Any ideas before I take it in?

When my gas truck started doing this, I changed the power steering fluid and all was well again, I now have 225K on the original power steering components, and still no pulsation.

If you do decide to change fluid, I strongly suggest getting a Factory Service Manual before doing this. Its not difficult, but must be done correct to keep from destroying the pump and steering gear.

Try a fluid flush. Could be a hydroboost unit going bad.
