Default Upper hose very hot and lower cold.

Hi there, i am living in belgium and i hope to find a answer.

I got a strange problem. I have changed the thermostat and liquid cooling. The upper hose is very hot and hard to press, the lower is cold. The cap of the radiator is cold also. Can it be the pump? How to test it? Can it be the radiator or cap of radiator?

Thanks for your help

Air pocket. Remove the cap. Start it up. Let the t stat open and watch the bubbles. About a 30-40 min. Process.

Park it nose up when you do that. Make sure the heater is set to full hot.

I have done that, but after 30 min, the cooling flow out the radiator.... At that moment, i have to put the cap on, right? After severral minutes, i have seen little bubbles, i think i have to do that 2 or 3 times. I have bought a new cap cause old one seems to be broken. I will test it on next monday and let you know.

Usually the coolant level goes down when the air bubble leaves. For a guess, I'd say the air bubble was trying to come out. I wonder if the thermostat has opened yet. 30 minutes should be enough. What does the temp gauge show?

Temp gauge is 2 milimeters before middle, so very close. But i will flush it, actually its just water in it with a special cleaner. I will try again but this time without fill the plastic reservoir, waiting actually my new cap radiator. Coming on monday, so i will be back to you soon. Thanks Sir.

That's about the right spot. That's where mine ran.
