I am wanting a bike rack for a 1500 Quadcab. Is it possible to fit a rack over the bed. If so, does anyone know a source I could get one from? New member, first posting. Imported truck to England last year.

I use a Thule 4 bike rack attached to the tonue cover on the truck, this unit is removeable in a couple of minutes. Thule also has a unit that fits onto the truck bed with 4 legs and raises the bikes above the box height.

 

Thanks for info. Do you know the model of the rack that fits to your tonneau cover. I have a tonneau cover, so I can't use a rack that fits inside the bed rails, since the tonneau cover is mounted there. Does it use the four holes in the bed side. If not, does anyone know what they are for?

 

Those four holes are stake pockets. You can insert lumber in there and build a tall box above the rails. Think cut rate landscaping company. Lots of people smooth them over.
