Default 02 Ram with an 03 Hemi

Alright, so as i have found, the 04 and up hemi's are nightmares to swap. My 2002 ram with the 4.7 has developed a tick and i want to keep the truck but i fear the motor is going bad (high mileage anyways). I have found an 03 hemi (motor only) and was wondering if this was any easier to swap?

Also, as i have said before, i plan on adding a Cam and a few other little things but i have heard the 03 hemi is very hard to tune (due to no tuners available), yet people say to put an 04+ wiring harness on it, will i be in the same boat as just doing an 04 hemi swap? Or is it different?

Lastly, is there any problems that i should look out for in the swap? Is there anything i'm going to need besides the basics?

Thanks very much!

There is another thread here talking about an 02 with a HEMI swap. See the comments going on with that thread first to glean your answers

FYI, the HEMIs also have a tick. Mainly the tappets for the valves. It's a common thing. Nothing to be worried about really. Just the nature of the HEMI.

My tick is getting pretty bad, and mine isn't a hemi, it's the 4.7l Magnum with almost 200,000 miles. Anyways, I've seen the other post, but I haven't found much about tuning the 03 hemis for bigger cams, which I want to do. And I also haven't seen much about the wiring of a 04+ harness on a 03 hemi in an 02 truck...
