Default 03 ram 4.7 no start help

When I turn the key to on, I hear the electronics, (CD player maybe) but do not notice an relay noise. My dash is not working except for the odometer for only a few seconds. When I turn the key to start nothing happens. There is a Grey wire by the fuse box that I hear can be the issue, it seems tight and disconnecting/reconnecting did not make a difference.

Sounds like a dead battery.

The battery can have power to operate the electronics but not enough to start the vehicle. Get the battery tested.

OK I see, the battery is about 5 months old, if I jump it with another car or my jump box would that be sufficient if I don't have a battery tester?

Yes, if you jump it and it starts, the battery is suspect. Not the first time a new batter went bad. If you can get it to an autoparts store, they can test it. Or if you have a volt meter, stick it on there and see what the voltage is. That won't tell you everything, but if it is less than 12 volts, it won't start the truck.

I understand, it's just weird the dash gauges are not working, oil pressure fuel gage for example but the windows and everything else works.

Could also be a bad connection at the battery. Check all your connections under the hood.
