I have a 2005 dodge raM 1500 4.7 207k with oil pressure issues when its hot and i come to a light the pressure drops and check gauges goes on i changed the oil pump timing chain tensioners and the sensor i just ordered another sensor to make sure what else could be doing this.... i am going to get mechanical gauge next but do the dash board displays go bad often?
is there a way to jump out the pressure switch so when i put a mechanical one on permanently i dont have to listen to DING DING DING every time i come to the light i know there is pressure i just replaced the pump engine sounds fine i tried 2 new sensors still does it.

Just piece together a brass T fitting and keep the original on there. I think the size is 1/4 or 1/2 npt
Edit - and while the pump moves fluid, pressure is generated by the tolerances between the internal components of the engine. 50 new oil pumps wont fix a worn out bearing.
