HELP p063a generator voltage sense circuit
Ok guys I am needing some guidance on this one. I have a 2007 dodge ram 1500. A couple months ago my check gages light popped up on my dash, pulled out the modis and gave me the P063A code. cleared the code and it came right back on. Hooked up the microvat stated I had a bad battery. Replaced the battery. My original battery was around 600 CCA, I up'd it to 750. Light still stays on. Microvat read battery, alternator, and starter are all good. When the light first came on, if I drove for awhile and turned my truck off it would go away, not it stays on all the time. To give you some background, I put in new LED HALO AM headlamps- checked all the wiring do not see any issues with the headlamps. ( this is when the issue began was days after hooking up headlamps.) All my gauges are right in working parameters. I am having no issues with starting, driving, etc. IDK why this light will not go away. please help!
I was going to check tonight, from looking, I have seen some people finding out the regulator is going bad on the back, I have not gotten any specs on voltage during use, the microvat just has me run truck at 2,000 RPMS and stated it was in correcting operating range.
