Rear Window Replacement
Hey guys... I have a 2004 Ram 1500 Crew Cab. Jumped into my truck this morning and the driver side portion of it shattered when I shut my door. I have the three piece slider window. Called a couple Autoglass repair shops and all were quoting anywhere from $400 to $590. Just to see the price difference I selected the non sliding portion and it was about $150 cheaper. Is it possible to install a one piece window with no problems instead of paying more with the sliding option? Thanks in advance
Its' the same amount of work. If you have junkyards near you, you might be able to find the rear window, slider and all. I replaced my clear, one piece back glass with a tinted JY slider, then sold the original glass for more than the JY part.
Thanks for the reply. I'm currently away at school so I was planning on just brining it to a Safeflite near campus. So are dimensions are the same for both and the installation are the same for both?
