Default P0306 again 2006 1500 with 5.7

2000 miles ago I had an engine light come on took it to the shop and piston 6 had a misfire. Found coil covered in oil and in removing the plugs the electrodes were gone on both plugs. So they replaced the valve cove gaskets, seals, one coil pack and all plugs. Ran great.

Now 2000 miles later engine light comes on and it is same issue no oil on coil but one of the plugs is missing an electrode same piston 6.

Now truck idled rough but ran ok at highway speed.

What say you? Thank you

What did they put in for plugs? What did they use for a coil Pak? Plain coppers work best in Hemi's. Does the electrode look burned off or hit by the piston? Is it the plug connected directly to the coil?

Default Plugs

They used platinum. idk about coil. I heard about the copper thing should I switch to them now? I just replaced them. And the first time we found that the electrod burned off. This time idk. They said it was gone. Plug connected to the coil yes. Just the one piston #6 maybe running lean, maybe fuel injector.

So I would do a compression check on that cylinder. If that checks good. Do a fuel injector leak down test. I would recommend check all of them. Another thing is maybe try running soon sea foam thru. Could just be a injector that has carbon build up or trash in it. Sea foam may help. May want to try the sea foam first.

If it's that one plug only, the plug could be bad out of the box. It's cheap enough to try it.

Default New plug

So they replaced the plug running great. I ran some Lucas High Mileage injector cleaner. So far so good.

I have heard of the sea foam. Should I try that in the next tank.

Lucas is good. Run a couple of tanks. Then I would run sea foam. I usually put sea foam in at a half tank, makes it more concentrated. Hope your issues are over.

So far so good I stopped running cheep gas and am using Chevron. I only added the one bottle of Lucas fuel injector cleaner. I didn't use anything in the last fill up. Next time I will add the Seafoam. If this happens again in the next 2000 miles. I will be back picking all you alls brains. Thanks for all the help.
