Okay so here is the deal, I have a 2003 ram 1500 with a 4.7 and an auto trans. My donor truck is a 2003 ram 3500 with a 5 speed. I am taking the 5.7 out of the 3500 to put it in the 1500. My question is basically, if I replace the ecm in the 1500 with a reman hemi 1500 ecm, will the wiring harness out of the 3500 swap right over? Or will the 1500 need a wiring harness from an automatic transmission truck? Thank you in advance.

I have looked everywhere. I do understand that there are many threads on this. But I still can't find whether or not the manual trans harness can still be used in an automatic truck or if an auto harness is needed

 

I understand everything else, I just need to know if the harness from the M/T truck will be use able in the auto trans 1/2 ton truck

 

So I can not tribute a lot here, but I have an 05 1500 Hemi Auto, and in the future I am buying a 2005 Hemi 5 speed 2500 to swap the manual in. When I do so, I will swap all the computers and harnesses as well (2500s do not have an EGR as 1500S do)

proper year swaps should be direct. Just be thorough. I am in the early steps of my swap.
