Default Wheels/tires?

I am getting g a 02 Dodge Ram sport 4x4 but it needs new tires. It has the 20" rims. I have a 01 4x4 with 16" rims and good tires. I know my 01 has rear drum breaks, and the 02 is independent front suspension. Can I put the wheels/tires off the 01 onto the 02? At least long enough to get some new tires for the 20's. I'm assuming as long as the rotor sizes are the same clearance shouldnt be an issue but on not sure about the solid front axle (on the 01) and the independent (on the 02). Any information would be helpful.

I don't think they will fit. I think 17's is a small as you can go.

17" minimum (at least up front) on the 3rd gens.
