Post 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7L Engine issue

Okay so this was my paps truck but it became too much work for me and him and now it will be mine when i fix it (He doesnt want the truck anymore) . The Issue is that there is a loss of compression on one of the cylinders. I am going up in a few hours to work on it. I know a possibility could be a hole in the piston, cracked piston, or even the rings going. I read somewhere that if my valve is BURNT not BENT then it could cause this. Any other idea.

Do a cylinder leakdown test. That will tell you EXACTLY where the problem is.

Yep, I think the parts stores will rent one to you. But you need compressed air though. Hopefully a rocker arm just jumped off.

Intake valve either needs replaced or relaped. Ill keep you guys updated on the progress The combustion chamber was filled and within a minute it was like this
