Overhead Console

I think a few other ST owners have done this, but honestly, I don't think I use mine enough to warrant the expense of putting it in if I didn't have it. I usually just leave it on the compass/temp. MPG is usually too painful to look at and I can keep up with the mileage with the dash trip odometer.

I'm with these guys...I've got one too, but I don't think I'd add one. If you're convinced to do it, check with a dealer and see if Mopar makes a kit for it, and if you have an existing wiring harness to just plug it in. Shouldn't be too hard of an install then...probably pull out the head liner and pillar covers. I'd definately say NFW if you have to hunt down and splice wires.

Hey Joe. I'm willing to bet money the hook-ups are already installed in your truck for the center console. I bought a base '05 truck and had them add what I wanted. Everything just "plugged and played" so to speak so I'm willing to bet it would not be that hard. My suggestion is if you have one out of a loaner truck, either remember the way it came out and reverse install it or have the dealership put one in - assuming you can afford the screwing you will get. I'm pretty sure the PC will need to be re-programmed so you will be taking a trip to the dealer anyway.

Jeez, I really appreciate my little computer buddy up there. I love zeroing out the MPG setting and the hitting the gas from a standstill. It reads like 4 miles to the gallon when you do that. Same is true at highway speeds when you reset it and take your foot off the gas, it shoots up to 99 miles to the gallon. I wish.
