Ring gap question
So, I'm *slowly* building another 4.7 to put in my 2003 1500 QC 4X4 and I'm using a shop manual I found online. I have conflicting information in it regarding ring gap.
On page 9-98 the specifications chart for the 4.7 shows end gap for the upper and second compression rings at 0.37-0.63 mm.
However, on page 9-141 there is a piston ring specification chart showing a gap of 0.20-0.36 mm for the upper ring and 0.37-0.63 mm for the second. That seems overly tight for the upper. Is it a misprint in the manual?
