Question Trailer tow voltage drop

Hi,

I have a 1500 dodge ram 5.7l Hemi.
The trailow tow cable has only 0.92V on the backside of the truck instead of 12V - Fuse 19 is ok.
What can I do? Why do I have such a great voltage drop?
Anyone here who knows how I can check this?

The wire is in an empty conduit. I think its better to get a new cable.
I hope anyone here had the same problems and knows where the fault is.

Not sure how the "conduit" can be empty with a wire in it, but you'll still have to trace the bundle. Sounds like the wiring has frayed and may be leaking to ground. Does EVERY wire have such low voltage?
