Default Timing chain actuators?

2003 Ram 1500 4.7 with 175,000 miles. Whether on a cold or warm engine if you take off shortly after startup many times the motor will bog down. If you give it plenty of throttle it will pickup and go after a couple seconds, otherwise it will start loping then die off and have to restart. After this 1 time it runs ok until turned off again. Does not throw any codes. I am thinking it is the timing chain actuators taking time to get oil pressure and that causes it to bog because timing is slightly off. Does this sound reasonable? Should I switch oils, replace actuators? Thanks
