I am going to have to take a much better inspection of the of the calipers... bdhuntr Do you know how I would check the ABS valve or eliminate it to check if that is the problem? I also need to really check the lines too, maybe they are expanding on the right not putting full/equal force to the right caliper making it grab slower.... its such a strange problem to me since it isn't constant and if it happens I release the brake and reapply it doesn't happen... only under the initial press of the pedal.... Still no codes, no pulse in the pedal, no squishy feeling in the pedal. All feels perfectly fine other than that initial pull...

Might be a bad master cylinder not releasing pressure or sticking. Try changing all the brake fluid have a complete flush and add all new fluid.

good luck

I already did a flush when I first bought the truck (18K miles ago about a year) . I think it is time to let a professional take a look....

Hi mbonno,

If you decide to use your local Dodge dealership for further diagnosis, and need any assistance, let us know!

Kori,

I have a mechanic who has earned my trust over the years, and honestly he earned my money for all the freebies he's done for me with quick check this out for me stuff. But if I do need a dealer fix probably go to Rothrock in allentown where I bought it

Fuse J05 should deenergize the ABS valve. But if you detect no pulse in the brake pedal, it's probably not that. It sounds as if the right pads are contacting the rotor just prior to the left. Is it worse when braking light vs braking hard?

Yes the pull is drastic under hard braking and not bad at all but definitely present when normal braking. I brought it to my mechanic to let them look into it. When it becomes an issue with many options to look into I let them do the work. It pulls right slightly while driving normal (no brakes) thinking alignment or possibly caliper drag. pulls left hard while braking which got me to initially to look into the calipers... but now thinking could be the lines, the caliper, the proportioning valve, or something in the front end. I am at a total loss where to begin, his turn.

Default Problem Fixed!

It ended up being the brake line on the right side. All fixed and pretty cheap 250 total from the shop.

HeyYou, Yeah the soft line to the caliper. They replaced both and did a fluid flush for me.
