I have a 2005 Ram Daytona. A few days ago the air conditioner quit blowing air from the vents. I did some research and thought it may be the resistor and fan. I replaced those and checked the circulating door and all work. The air only blows in accessory mode. When you crank the truck up the air shuts off and nothing comes out no matter which setting on the console you switch it too. Any ideas?

Do the vents switch properly in ACC? If so, I would start looking at the power feed to the control head..... (although, is that electronic? Or is it vacuum powered?????)

 

how can I tell if its electric or vaccumed?

 

I have noticed the air only cool for a minute in accessory mode and its strarting to turn off in accessory mode as well.

 

Are the service manuals for your year truck available somewhere? They sure are handy to have around...... even if only in digital format.
