Default The price is right thread

I've been reading on here for awhile and like the fuel mileage, the prices we paid for our trucks seem to be all over the place. I figued we could post where and how much we paid for our trucks to see where the best area is for buying a truck. I'll start -

2005 Dodge Quad Cab - Bright White work truck with 4.7 and auto and I had the cruise control added.
$17995 plus TT&L

Traded in an 01 Cherokee which broke even with what I got for it so I put 0 down.

This was a base truck - vinyl seats/rubber floors/17" steel wheels/no power locks, windows or seats (hey, it's what my wife wanted. I have my Jeep).

Factory style add-on's since I got the truck:

Stock CD head unit to replace tape player (took from 05 Unlimited when I upgraded the Jeep's system - plug and play!) - free
Bed Liner - $165
Bed Caps - $45
OEM style tow package - $125
3 pc Bug Shield from Ebay - $45
17" stock chrome wheels - NIB from Ebay - $125

Bought in Terrell, TX at Randall Noe (I DO NOT recommend unless you use your own financing from a credit union or bank)

I bought mine on long island back in February.

2005 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Qab HEMI with sport package. (AWD)

Listed at $44,000.00

I paid about 37,500 after rebates.

-HEMI
-sport package
-leather with suede inserts
-heated seats
-dual zone climate control
-selector **** transfer case (AWD - 4 HI - 4 LO)
-Infinity sound system
-radio controls on steering wheel
-20" Chrome wheels
-3.92 rear
-LSD front and rear
-bed liner
-side steps
-power EVERYTHING (all windows, both driver and pass. seat, etc)
-on board comp
-tow package
-and everything that would be standard on the SLT

....and then I began to modify it for about another 5,000.00

2004 Ram 1500 Sport appearence package purchased December 2003. Reg cab 4x2 Hemi SLT cloth, power locks/windows/seat CD radio all that jive with slider window tow package limited slip and 20 inch wheels and factory bug deflector that came off in a car wash...twice. Out the door CASH (I think this helped me bargain) for 23,500 bucks. Downers Grove Dodge. I would recommend them due to their having a lower STICKER price than what I could talk other Chicago West Suburban dealers down to. Oh yeah they gave me a Car-Max matching 2,000 bucks on a 95 Dodge conversion Van with a 318 in it and like half a million miles on it. --Kevin
