Question Driving without front axle shafts

Hey guys! I have an 03 1500 Quad Cab, and it has the usual problem with the inner axle shaft wearing out, both sides. Can I safely drive it with the outer front axle shafts removed until I can replace everything? the outer axle shafts are causing a shudder being worn because of the inners, and I don't want it to cause any more problems, other than the obvious.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.. thanks guys!

No, you can't. The bolts that hold the outer CV joints in place, also hold the front wheel bearings together. If those aren't there, the front wheels are free to abandon the rest of the truck. Bad things happen very shortly thereafter.
