P0111 IAT sensor question
Started up my truck this afternoon and got a P0111 DTC. Intake air temp sensor 1 performance. First time for this one.
Have an 04 ram hemi with 103k. No rough idle or anything other than the check engine light. After reading the code with my tuner I pulled out the IAT and it looked really good. Have changed it out a couple of times over the 12 years of owning the truck.
My question being this is my first summer using the power wire and it was 109F when I started the truck up. I noticed pretty good differences in pedal response with the power wire so I have left it on. But when it is over 100F cannot tell a difference.
Oil gauze filter looks clean too. Have an Airraid tube off of the factory filter box that the IAT is connected to and it fits nicely in the rubber grommet so I am just wondering if maybe it is the power wire resistor causing this or is it something like the insufficient ionization code I get occasionally because of running a SC tuner?
Thanks for any info.

I had a buddy that kept getting P0111 codes on his '05 hemi until he switched to a dry filter. I guess the oil from his K&n kept putting a micro film of oil on the sensor. But it hasn't happened since he was told to switch filters.
Thanks for the input. Have had K & N drop in for 11 years and one time when I changed out the IAT it was covered in oil but never set off a code? Thought it could have had something to do with that resistor of the power wire. I put a fresh IAT sensor in today and hopefully it will be another decade or so before I get another P0111 code.
Thanks again!!
Thanks again!!
