Default Trailer Lights

Hi 04 Ram and noticed last week that my left trailer light while illuminated it barely flashed or very sporadic and did not match my taillight on the truck. Noticed 7 post connectoron truck looked corroded so I replaced with a new one. Same issue exists. While replacing switch I noticed they had a white wire going to a screw in back of bumper(Negative?) but I don’t believe this is factory. I am wondering if the previous owner had issue with corroded fuse box (Lost ground) so he rigged up this ground? Can someone confirm this ground is or is not factory?

To rule out trailer I hooked it to neighbors 2017 Ram and lights work perfect so it’s the S-box. Never had a vehicle cause me so much grief as this truck. Never ending crap. So I have running lights, brake lights, but now both turn signals are screwy. I read somewhere that in trying to bypass the bad ground for the fuse box while this approach may work for a while eventually it will fry the relays inside the fuse box responsible for the turn signals which means new fuse box time. Who was the idiot that decided the engine bay would be a good location for the main fuse box. If anyone has a picture or would be kind enough to take a pic of their factory trailer wiring up from underneath so I can compare as the trailer wiring except the ground connects into wiring for left tail light. Just doesn’t look right to me but maybe it is. Help me out guys can’t fish tell I fix this crap.
