Default Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 no start.

My 2004 truck won't start and the indication box on the shift positions is missing. I understand this could be caused by a bad neutral safety switch but I was told that the reverse light would not function if that was the problem. I read on another sight that another owner had a similar problem including the symptom that the shifter will work without depressing the brake pedal. This and another owner did not post how they resolved the problem. Has anyone here solved this same problem. Thanks. c code 06 indicator output circut

Will it start if you put it in neutral?

No, I have tried it in every position. I've even tried turning the steering wheel and everything.

Time to start tracing the circuit, and see where power goes away.
