Trans cooler line
Hi,
After spending the day tearing up my hands replacing the rear shocks on my truck I see the lower trans cooler line is rotting out about the middle. It looks as though its the return line. Can I simply cut out the bad part and use a rubber line to splice in? High/low pressure? Simple clamps and/or flare/double flare?
Thanks in advance,
Jon

Yeah, it's low pressure, so, just replacing the bad section with some rubber line rated for trans fluid will be fine. I like to flare the ends of the metal tubing a bit, slide the hose over it, and then clamp it in place. Less likely for pressure to push it off.
