Shorties BY THEMSELVES won't do much for you..... but, in combination with other mods, you'll get more out of them, than if you didn't have headers. If the truck manifolds look anything like the car manifolds did though...... You will probably notice a bump in throttle response....
Pipe size plays a role here as well. You want 2.5 inch duals. If you go single pipe, go 3".
