Lightbulb 2002 4.7 Ram error codes and fixes

Hello everyone!

This is my first post, I hope I get this right, just want to say thank you in advance to everyone who contributes to this site. Ive used the forums before to diagnose my trucks little problems and I always find useful and helpful info from good people~

So...

I have a 2002 4.7 ram ST with 158k and power NOTHING lol.. its the base work truck model. No carpet.. I love it! Besides the cracked dash its great! Im used to having a crappy car so this is nice and has working AC lol! but no heat?!

SO.. as you all may know my state Florida just got hit by hurricane Irma. My neighborhoods entrance floods with almost a foot of standing water when its really raining bad. When I went to check on my business I had to drive through it.. I was going 10 mph maybe.. should of taken it slower.

The morning after I started the truck again and headed out but it struggles, sputters, feels like its trying but losing power/slipping when accelerating. It idles ok.. barely notice it then. But once I step on the gas in gear.. its hesitating/sputtering/jumping a bit but still drives.. just have to be careful with it. Scared to drive it as I feel it may cause more damage and ruin my truck! ugh!

I have checked fuses and let it run thinking it was just a bit wet still.. but now a day later and after driving maybe 2 miles ( mostly slow ) its still messed up! My luck!

My truck was running fine before and after that night its got 5 codes. I believe one of them was there before.

Here are the codes I just got.
P1491 SECONDARY SWITCH SOLENOID CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION
P0455 EVAPORATIVE EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM LEAK DETECTED (GROSS LEAK)
P0442 MAIN CATALYST EFFICIENCY BELOW THRESHOLD BANK 1 ((( I checked the hoses going in and out of the evap canister/filter and there are cracks.. inch long.. cant hear much of a hiss from a leak .. i cant go to store atm since they are still closed so i duct taped them for now lol)))
P0301 CYLINDER 1 MISFIRE
P0306 CYLINDER 6 MISFIRE
P1282 FUEL PUMP RELAY CONTROL CIRCUIT ((( DOES NOT SHOW UP ON CODE READER JUST ON DASH WHEN I GO ON OFF ON OFF ON )))

Im about to close my head in the hood if this is going to empty my wallet.. I just fixed the fuel pump.. @ $420 And I didnt even pay for that myself. My mother had to loan me the cash..

Any help would be huge for me atm. Thank you again! Still cleaning up the hurricanes mess.. not what I was picturing being damaged! lol.. fml.

Likely something got wet, and is now unhappy.

Finding it is the fun part.

i would recomend putting electrical grease on all the plugs. check the plugs on the driver side in the wheel well and ecm plugs. let the truck dry out. ive been told about these trucks getting corrsion on the wires leading into the main fuse/relay bank under the hood and it causes endless problems.

Ok Ill check the plugs and all wires heading to the fuse box. I had one guy look at it and he thinks my cats clogged.. said if the coil was bad it would be a lot worse vibration.. it would jump and stutter more.

Another guy said it needs a tune up..

Ill keep looking but im not mechanically savvy sadly.
I have some new medical conditions and they are making it hard to work on it and get my hands dirty.
Im really screwed atm.

Thank you again for your input!
Ill update the post asap.

check your air intake filter, see if you sucked in any water, possibly motor maybe wet internally.and hope it doesn't hydro lock on you.

The air intake was the first thing i checked.. I had just cleaned my K&N like a week before and cleaned the box and all it was dry as can be.

My mech is coming tomorrow to help me diagnose it! Yay! Damn hurricane screwed everybody up!

SOOOO hopefully Ill just be able to give you guys the answer to this weird problem tomorrow!

WIsh me luck! I just spent 400 on the fuel pump (OEM) so Im hoping its not a huge costly fix..

Do you guys know what a tune up should cost me? ballpark figure?

THanks again!

So after diagnosing this down to the ignition system..

Checked all wiring..
Checked all fuses..
Checked Gas lines and compression..

It was #1 and #6 plugs/coils

All that wasted time to just end up needing to clean and polish my plugs and coils..

lol.

Watch those big puddles! Go slow!
