Default Acceleration Smoking

I have a 2007 5.7 Hemi Dodge Ram that smokes blue smoke sometimes during acceleration while driving only. I have found where it is getting oil into the intake from the crankcase vent that comes from the valve cover on the driver side to the air filter box. I have oil on the air filter where this vent comes in. I have changed the PCV valve and the air filter to stop this issue with no luck. Anyone have any idea as to how to stop this issue. Thanks.

if the pcv system is working properly, the engine may have xs blow by that the pcv system cannot handle. Is this a high mileage engine

test this theory by performing a dry and wet compression test. instructions are on the internet. if the compression comes up significantly during the wet test...the engine is old and tired...rebuild or replace

It only has 114,000 miles on it. This engine is a little different as the PCV valve is located on the throttle body and not on the valve cover. There does not have to be blow by for oil to get into the throttle body. I was thinking that the line from the valve cover to the air cleaner box should have some way to stop oil from going up it but I can't find any.

the pcv valve should be in the intake manifold...manifold vacuum draws air from the crankcase...fresh filtered air must take its place...if blowby is xsive it can back up to the air filter...filling the filter with oil through the line you are talking about. If during an oil change, the oil is dumped in to fast...the oil can flow thru this line to the filter.
