pics. of all-terrain tires and wheels
I'm looking for pics. of 2002-2005 1500 quadcab 4x4's with either stock or aftermarket 17 inch rims with 33 inch all-terrains. Does'nt matter what brand of tire just want to see how they look in these huge wheel wells. I'm wanting to sell my stock 20's and get aftermarket 17's with Mickey Thompson MTX 33" tires. Thanks.

I'm not sure those pics above (Power wagon, and black truck) show what a stock 1500 looks like with 33's. However I am planning on switching to 33's or 35's in the future. It turns out that 265/70R17's are not much different than 33x12.5's. The 265's are basicaly 32's, so the height is no big deal. The bigger difference is the width. the 265's are 2 inches narrower than the 33x12.5 tires. I'm not 100% sure if they will rub, but I would bet that a few turns of the torsion bars, and that would not be a problem any more. Just my 2 cents.
the pic i posted has the m/t baja claw radials. 33x12.50R17
If you go with 12.50 tires, you're going to need a rim with a bigger offset. I think mine are 5.25 inch offset, otherwise the front tires will rub on the inside upper a-arm

Beasta, thanks for the pic. of your truck, it has the look that I'm going for!! Also what type rim are you running? They look SWEET. With the 5.25 offset do your tires stick out of the wheel well a little more? Thanks a million for the info.

I am in the market for new tires and was wondering..what is the largest size tire that will fit in the wheel wells (without rubbing or need for modification) and on a stock 02 1500 rim?
I dont want shuttle crawlers but I wanted something a little meaner looking than the stock P265/70R17 tires that are on there. I was looking at maybe some LT 275 or 285 70R17 sizes.
I like the look of the Dayton Timberline M/T, Goodyear Wrangler MT/R, and Firestone Destination M/T.
I live in FL so wet handling and minor off road (ie sand) use is a consideration.
If anyone has these tires on their truck a pic would be great to see what they look like mounted.
Thanks
