'04 Ram 3500 cargo/dome light question

'04 Ram 3500. Cargo/dome light can be disabled when opening the doors manually but I can't stop them from coming on when using the remote. I don't want them coming on at all unless I manually turn the switch. Can't find anything in the owners manual that helps. Any ideas?
