Exclamation Transmission No Gears??

2005 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 Laramie
Hello, I am new to this forum.
I was driving my truck the other night and the truck was driving just like any other normal day.
Suddenly my truck just reved up which was rather odd as I did not hear any sounds or indicators from my transmission which led me to think it can't be my transmission blew, I took my foot off the gas for a moment and when I tried to push the gas again the truck just reved up rpm but wouldn't go accelerate.
At a complete stop I put the truck into any gear from P R N D 2 1 I hear a click from the shifter arm connected on side of transmission although the truck will not move forward or reverse even if I turn on my 4x4.
I checked the fuse box under the hood and replaced the ""Transmission Relay #59"" and ""Transmission Module Fuse #5"" in the fuse box and still the truck doesn't move.
If someone could possibly give me any insight and helpid be very greatful.

I’m sure a joint failure like that would be self evident. Especially since it doesn’t move in 4WD as well. It’s either something simple or something catastrophic. A trans shop is the only way to find out, unless you know your way around a very complex piece of engineering.

Having the exact same issue with an 07 1500 right now. Did you happen to figure out what your issue was?

Another one of those one time posters who want all the answers, but then doesn’t share the solution when they find it!!
