my husband bought a 06 dodge ram 1500 SLT. check engine light is on code that pops up is p0302. it also had p0300 but that went away and hasn't come back. when codes are cleared and you start the truck p0302 pops up right away. he has replaced the spark plug, coil pack, and changed them around to be sure they aren't the problem. there isn't plug wires on this motor so it cant be that. he has replaced the EGR, cleaned the throttle body and checked vacuum hoses. the symptoms is showing is a rough idle. but once driving it seems to be fine. now its becoming difficult to start. we've both spent hours researching and don't really know what it could be. anyone have suggestions or ideas? should we just bite the bullet and take it in for diagnosing?

 

Run a compression test. Might be a broken valve spring. Could also try swapping the injector for number 2 with any other one, see if the miss moves.
