Default Quick exhaust idea

Ok so i got this idea. what if i bring a dual exhaust system out each side of my truck, right behind my running boards, with a rectangular tip. kinda like the gibson super truck exhaust but out each side. is that possible and is there a system already like that? i tried searching and came up with nothing.

also if this is a stupid question.....sorry! kinda new

Watch how close you run the pipes in relation to the gas tank. Also, if you exit the exhaust behind the running boards, but in front of the rear tires expect damage over time to your rear wheels if you drive your truck on a regular basis.

That is very possible. You should do it, I'll help you make up some drawings and find a shop to bend the pipe, and we can go into business.

Don't worry about hurting your tire or rim with the heat. I have run over 30,000 miles through my sure truck exhaust from Gibson without a single blemish or trace.

Heat is not the issue. It is the other crap what will oxidized and, if you have steel rims, accellerate corrosion. If you live in a snow free, salt free climate it will help. Also cleaning and polishing your rear rims will help to prevent the issue.

Yes my RT10 does. I do not drive it on a regular basis (19K miles) and the wheels get polished several times a year. Talk to some Ford owners about side exhaust and rear wheel damage, many have experienced it.

With your aluminum rims just polish them occasionally to keep the oxidation from setting in.
