I have a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad cab 4x4 with the 5.7l Hemi. Where typically does the temp gauge run, mine seems to run slightly below half. I just happened to notice that when going up hill it goes slightly over half and drops back down.but it stays just under half when sitting idling or under normal driving. Is this normal or something to look further into? Thanks in advance
Generally the older 3rd gens the temp gauge stayed where you described and didn't really move. With a stock 203deg thermostat it general runs in the 199-204 range (I have a gauge). If someone mixed HOAT and non HOAT coolant, that can get bad, worse case scenario they react and gel up.
