stealership problem
okay y'all know I did a hemi swap on my 02 but the truck runs and drives great but when warm up the idle drops to 500 and also sounds like its misfiring when decelerating and also when at a red light the rpm will jump up and down sometime acting like the engine doesn't no what to do then will shut off, but no codes for it so I went to see if there was a pcm update because every other forum said to, which their is and also I asked has it ever had a reflash done so I gave them the vin from the donor truck they came back said no the truck never had one so in my mine im like cool that could be my problem with it running like crap sometime so I made a appointment for the reflash took it their left it all day came to find out they couldn't do it because its to old they only do 2010 and up also called other stealership some said 06 and up some said 2010 and up my problem is now how do I get the update on the pcm or should I just take it to get a tune on it.
Doesn't matter if they could do it or not. No flash is going to fix a running issue like that. Don't waste your money.
For the record, I can go back to 1998 and flash PCMs. So can they, but they either don't know how or don't want to. OR everyone in the shop has crappy Windows 10 on their laptops

idk but my tuner guy may have found the problem I went to him to get a custom tune his computer is talking to the pcm but for some reason it wouldn't let him do anything kept getting a error so he think the person who had the motor had a program already on it an its corrupted so he copy the file and he sent it to hptuner I think thats what he uses so hoping I get a call in a couple days saying they fixed the file if not then hoping to copy someone else file that the same year and all and change the vin back to mine or going junkyard to find the same part# pcm
