SRT-10 Ignition

Gotcha. In that case, time to invest in a good security system.

I have the SRT-10 ignition in my 05 ram laramie
The ignition ran me about 40 bucks after tax from the dealer.
Now my truck came with the silver dash bezels and trim on the doors like the SRT-10.
However, I had the cigarette lighter in its place. I took out the cigarette lighter, used the red 12v lead for power to the button and tapped off the yellow ignition wire under the steering wheel.
I then used expoxy to fasten the buttons brackets to the backside of the dash bezel. Then I used a 3/4 electrical reducing washer (which I filed the center out for about 15-20 min worth and polished it up and painted it silver to match my trim in the truck) and epoxyed the trim piece in place.
works PERFECT! LOOKS GREAT!...i use it maybe once or twice a week when i remember but its a nice touch.
check out my gallery to see pictures of it.
BTW....you still need the key turned to the on position and then press the button to run.

I never understood the concept of a push button start. I mean, don't you have to turn the key to unlock the column and put the ignition switch in the run position anyhow? That is a serious question btw. I'm not knocking it.
Is there a keyless setup? That would be pretty cool.
