Default 2005 rear differential replacement

I have a 2005 1500 Daytona edition. I know my gears are 3.92. I have been searching everywhere near me for a replacement but cant find one. I have been under the assumption that only a 2002-2005 would fit. Is this the case or are there other years that would fit? If need be i could swap both front and rear for different gear ratio if absolutely need be.

Why do you want to replace it?

The spiders are chewed to crap. Need to replace it as cheap as possible so been going to you pull it part yards locally. Wasn't sure how old or new i could go with it being direct fit.

www.car-parts.com, might be the best way to source a new (used) rear end

Is it possible to change the carrier and spider gears and keep my ring and pinion if there is no damage? I can get the carrier and spiders from a truck with 3.55 would that work? I figured they are the same and its the ring and pinion that change.also if this is possible can i use the parts from a 2wd rear end and make mine a limited slip if i swap the ring gear?

I actually took the carrier from an 03 with 3.55 gears and limited slip and put my 3.92 ring gear on it. even that was an upgrade because my 2005 Daytona had an open rear end. Everything fit perfect though. Torqued it all to spec and it runs smooth as butter.
