I have a 2008 dodge ram 1500 4.7 16 plugs put a motor in it with 50k miles on it last year recently the lifters on the pass side started making noise so i replaced them and now when the truck heats up the idle is rough and low use to idle a little above 1k now it goes right below and the truck shakes the truck drives fine otherwise no loss of power or engine codes. i thought it might of spit a rocker out on the side i did the lifters on but it didnt... i replaced plugs checked all wires what could it be..... i am guessing it has to be related to the lifters cause it idled fine before i replaced lifters .
Anyone have any suggesitons? i have worked on a lot of dodges but never had this issue before

See if you have any pending misfire codes.

 

Could it be a fuel delivery problem to the entire engine? Have you looked into that?
