Default Ooops, now what?

Oooops. Silly me thinking I should be able to remove the fan from a 14 year old bolt/nut pulley joint. Well the back swing of the poorman's impact wrench (aka hammer) nicked the end of something. What is it? And most importantly .... now what?

I believe that is the high pressure switch for the a/c, you should be able to just replace it, without having to evacuate the system.

I see it is on the AC line compressor line, so for the AC function somehow. I do not know what it does.
Reality is I will not need AC for awhile LOL (see pict), probably not until July. So, I guess my next question is probably ... would there be any harm done to the system by just disconnecting the other plug to the compressor (clutch on/off control) and just leave it completely offline for 3 to 5 months? I can search for a switch leisurely and put it back in service sometime in June ...
PS: Where can I get one of these switches super cheap?

Actually, you do need the A/C system working in these newer vehicles. They cycle in winter weather with the defroster to balance the cabin air, plus they need to cycle so the oil flows through the system to prevent the seals from drying out.

Based on the vehicles in your sigline, you would benefit from shelling out a couple of bucks and purchasing the
Lisle 44180 Fan Clutch Spanner Lisle 44180 Fan Clutch Spanner
, which should fit every vehicle you own. I have one, and it make removal of the fan a snap, plus there is a minimal chance of damaging anything under the hood

Took quite a bit of online researching to figure out what replacement part options there are. Here is what I found, best of my abilities. If anyone here is a Mopar parts guru or auto air conditioning guru, please let me know if am on track.
oem Mopar: 05073617AA
other aftermarket options: UAC 10080C, FourSeasons 20951 <-- both considerably less cost than Mopar!

UPDATE. Fixed. 75$ later.
