Default Parking brake

hey guys I’ve got a 02 Ram 1500 5.9l quad cab 4x4 3rd gen and I’m just curious as if the parking brake shoes are different to the pads in the rear calipers it’s in the shop right for the rear end now and they told me that the parking brake shoes on the left side are bare metal but right side is perfect but when I had it serviced last week they told me all my brakes were a 6mm all the way around any help is appreciated

Yeah, rear disc brakes? I think the E-brake is the drum style, inside the hat of the rotor. So, while the pads for the service brakes might be good, the e-brake shoes may be worn.

Yes, parking brake shoes are inside the hub of the disc rotor. Totally different entity than the rear disc caliper pads.
