My son and I are attempting to install a remote start. Fortin EVOChrt5 in a 2007 Ram quadcab 1500 4X4.. Crutchfield, where it was purchased, tells me there is a 5-pin connector near the ignition switch that I am not finding. There is a 6-pin on the left side, with 4 wires connected (there is some wire splicing involved at this point) and an 8-pin on the immobilizer. Has anyone installed these into their truck?

 

No. Best Buy installed a unit that uses my factory remote. Push the lock button 3 times and it starts and runs for about 12 minutes if I don't turn the ignition on and dies if you hit the gas or brake pedals. If you have one close by, maybe one of their install techs can give you a hand.
