Default Push rod out of place

hello. I took my valve cover off expecting to remove the head and change the valves and wen I opened it I took a look and seen one of the pushrods were out of place I’ll post pic but that is what’s causing my misfire bc it’s not opening my valve right? But would the valve be burnt and still be checked? Also I did leak down test wit a homemade tester and I didn’t hear no noise b4 taking it apart. Has anyone else had there pushrod pop out if so did u replace or just put back together n was it fine? any help is appreciated thank u in advance

Posting pics from an apple device here simply does not work. It shows up for you, but, no one else.

Need to find out WHY it popped the pushrod. How is the valve spring? Does the valve close all the way? What engine?

The valve spring is ok. The rocker arm that sits on the spring it had a little play in it moved back n forth up n down so I imagine that is y it fell out. I replaced the pushrod. Put it back together. It seemed ok. But I’m worried it’s gonna happen again I also broke one valve cover screw so I’m trying to get that damm thing out.
