Drop-in vs Spray-in II
Hey All
We got the factory drop-in liner that came with the truck. I was wondering about keeping the drop-in liner, but doing one coat of the Herculiner or Durabak (which I did myself to my F-350) on the bed floor of the back. Then just reinstalling the drop-in liner, so in a way I would get the benefit of the "FREE" drop-in that came with the truck and the benefits of a single coat of the roll-on liner to protect the bed surface. Durabak does have a lot of different colors and custom mixes too, any thoughts?

With in the first month of having my '05, I bought a Rhino Liner. Got the color matched to red, top rails done also, totalling $600. Well worth the piece of mind. I told the guy at the dealer if my truck came with a drop in liner, that it better be out by the time I come to pick it up. Those things are horrible if you care anything about the paint on your truck. They rub the paint off the bed floor and tailgate, and they warp. Not to mention they hold water, or worse yet, in the winter ICE!!! Spray in is the way to go, at least for me. Just my 2 cents.
