K&N CAI Knock Offs
Has anybody heard anything about the K&N CAI knock offs on Ebay that use the K&N filters on them? What is the general consensus about these? I noticed they are alot cheaper.
The real question is: "Do you want your truck to be louder?" CAI will make your truck a bit louder.
About the CAI, it's about quality not how much it cost. I would rather buy a name brand...for warrantee purposes. If you think they make a good product than go for...I personally would not buy one. BTW, I wouldn't make one out of PVC either...but thats just me.

I bought one for under $70 shipped this summer (about a month after I had the truck). It makes the interior sound awesome when you step into the throttle, and you don't even have to floor it. It louder, but not obnoxious, nor is it noticable when the throttle is leveled off on the freeway. I like mine. The first month I drove with it, I was seeing +1 MPG better on the freeway. Also remember there are several styles of the cheap models. The one I bought mounts from the throttle body all the way down towards the radiator. Some are eight just the tube off the stock plenum box, or one that replaces the plenum box, but retains the stock air filter. Either way I still like mine. It's a cheap mod, thats worth a lil sound and throttle response.
