0522 code 2006.ram 1500 4.7
The other day I was driving to the gas station. I had about 40 miles left in my tank while sitting at the light the engine stalled and would not start back up. There weren't any warnings before hand. I drained the battery trying to start it back up. It had stalled a few times before but it was once in a while like once every couple of months but always started back up. I had it towed home thinking maybe I have some dirty gas or something. So I put some gas in it and hooked it up with some jumper cables and it still won't start. That's when I got the 0522 oil pressure sensor code. My question is, could a bad sensor have caused this and will replacing it fix it or am I only getting the code because the engine isn't starting. On a side not may or may not be related, I believe my thermostat has gone bad and is stuck open because the engine only warms up half of what it normally does. I did get that code.
The motor isn’t starting because of the code. Here is a good read on it
